3 Essential Tips to Keep Your Kids Healthy While Growing Up

You certainly love your children; however, are you paying close attention to the living habits you are teaching them?  Are you seriously concerned about what they eat, drink, breathe, and touch?

In an environment that is pH balanced, the immune system remains strong and disease can’t get in.  If your pH is acidic, your immune system becomes weaker, making your body vulnerable to illness.  When you or your kids get sick, it is because of the unhealthy habits and bad choices we incur in.

In order to ensure your kids grow up healthy and strong, pay attention to these tips and reinforce them both at home and away from it:

1.    Free their bodies of toxins
Our bodies are capable of healing and cleaning themselves as long as our immune system is healthy.  Today’s environment is plagued with toxins, chemicals, and pesticides that are ingested by your children in the foods they eat, the air they breathe, and the things they touch.  Nowadays, in order to be completely healthy, we have to attack the problem from the root; otherwise, we will be only treating symptoms.  Kids should exercise regularly and must have healthy sleep schedules. They should not be exposed to stress, should learn about personal hygiene care, and should get regular spinal adjustments to improve their health as they grow.  You may know about all this, but it is time you put it to practice.

2.    Teach them to eat healthy foods and get them away from junk foods
What you feed your kids determines their health to a great extent.  Healthy food will keep their cells vigorous and their immune system strong; it will energize them and give them all the nutrients they need to enjoy perfect health.  Sadly, our society has bombarded your children with the promise of endless fun and excitement through highly processed and fast foods that have no nutritional value and are loaded with refined sugars and grains, chemicals, additives, and preservatives, not to mention the ones loaded with antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, artificial ingredients, and heavy metals.  This junk tastes good, but gives no energy and doesn’t nourish their cells to help them work efficiently.  On the other hand, foods like organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains such as brown rice, millet, buckwheat, and oats, provide many vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

3.    Teach them healthy habits to prevent disease
Our bodies are composed of 80% water.  This liquid is indispensable to prevent sickness and to heal the body.  Water carries crucial elements, oxygen, hormones, and chemical messengers throughout the body, and it greatly improves digestion, the absorption of nutrients, skin hydration, and cleansing of the body, boosting its health. It’s the ultimate detox cleanser! In other words, many diseases can be prevented by learning the habit of drinking lots of water; for example, headaches, hypertension, ulcers, morning sickness, back pain, asthma, fatigue, and slow metabolism, are just some of the aches and illnesses that can be improved or even disappear by keeping the body well hydrated.

By teaching your kids healthy habits, you are making sure their energy stays intact; however, this is just the beginning.  These tips work in terms of prevention, so, the earlier you enforce them, the better the quality of life your kids will experience.  Even if it means a drastic change of habit, your kids’ health is worth it.

Exercise and A Sugar Free Lifestyle

Can I have a sugar free lifestyle without exercise? Yes, you can. Many people on a sugar free diet of necessity can’t exercise. However, those of you who can be active should have a program of activities planned even if you aren’t doing the sugar free thing.

With that said, exercise and a sugar free lifestyle go hand in hand. The benefits of exercise along with going sugarless are tremendous. However, before you begin a program of activities, please consult your physician to be sure you are healthy enough to do the activities you have planned.

A good fitness program does so many things for you. You already know the benefits because much has been written about the value of exercise: lower your heart rate, lower your blood pressure, burn calories and lower your body fat to name a few of the benefits.

However, exercise makes you feel better. When you become active, the endorphins created by your body, kick in. The endorphins released in the brain gives us a natural high or “runner’s high.” In other words, exercise makes you feel great!

We don’t know a lot about these feel-good chemicals released in the brain, but most of you have experienced them when you exercise. Sometimes you can actually have a cold and feel completely washed out. Then you go exercise, and suddenly during the activities, you feel great! That’s the feel-good chemicals made naturally in your body giving you this tremendous sensation.

Even after your exercise is finished, the endorphins still keep you feeling great. Your heart rate stays up to increase your blood flow, and you will actually be more productive in your tasks in life. All this occurs because you chose to exercise.

Now how does the exercise relate to a sugar free lifestyle?  Going sugarless makes you more aware, alert and actually gives you the best feeling you’ve had in your lifetime. You actually feel so much better that you will notice it within a few days of giving up sugar. When you add to this good feeling the feel good chemicals of exercise, you experience the best health of all. You can accomplish more! You are more amiable, easier to get along with. You will experience shorter mood swings.

Some research has been done regarding a normal diet suggested by the USDA “Food Pyramid,” loaded with sugar and white carbohydrates (carbs), and depression. Several books have been published about your “normal sugar consumption diets” and depression. In most cases whenever the individuals eliminated sugar and empty carbs from their diets, the depression was gone, and they began to exercise for the first time in years. In one account, the author talks about his severe depression causing him to think constantly of suicide. As soon as he began his sugar free lifestyle, the first thing he did was begin running.

Therefore, put the benefits of exercise and a sugar free lifestyle to work for your good health. You will feel better. You can experience a natural high. Are Natural Remedies Really The Healthiest Way To Go?

Almost everyone believes in the miracle of natural cures and natural remedies. It used to be assumed that this type of “medicine” was for beatniks, but this just isn’t the way it is anymore! You even have licensed doctors that will tell you to try alternative methods and therapies out instead of using medicines that may have bad chemicals and ingredients in them. This means we have come a long way! We have also come a long way with what these natural remedies can treat, what the benefits are, how they interact with the chemicals in your body, etc. Now I won’t sit here and act like a doctor – because I’m not. However, if you do have an ailment of some sort, a medical condition or health problems, trying out a natural remedy should at least be something on your short list – especially if the problem is really causing you a lot of trouble.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine was having problems with their digestive tract. They really thought they were dying! So they decided to do some research on a blog such as this and found that Aloe Vera juice is supposed to be one of THE best things for your digestive tract. She decided to give it a try, and about 2 weeks after taking the juice she started to automatically feel better and with zero side effects. You (nor she) can really say the same about a prescribed product now can you!

For example, she was prescribed Zofran for nausea and Prilosec for the indigestion problems. The Zofran made her even sicker than she was, and the Prilosec did nothing for her. Hair Loss: Rosemary has one of the prime uses for things like dandruff, hair loss, and even memory problems! Though it should be avoided by expectant mothers, children, and those with nervous system conditions — check with your physician if you’re unsure about the safety of essential oils for yourself or for someone else just in case! Other essential oils that might help are Omega 3 fish oil, lavender, green Myrtle and carrot root!

Arthritis: One of the more well-known oils or natural remedies for arthritis is Omega 3 fish oil. This is simply going to lubricate your muscles for the pain and stiffness that you may be feeling, but it can also reduce inflammation as well! The Omega 3 fish oil is going to be taken orally, but you can also try a skin topic as well such as massage oil with rosemary or a hand bath with Marjoram. Marjoram is awesome because it’s a natural pain reliever and pain killer without all the nasty ingredients and chemicals that might be in prescription pain killers.

You can also use natural remedies and essential oils for other serious problems as well such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cancer, sexual problems, asthma, blood clots and a whole slew of other problems.
