A fitness bootcamp can be the most convenient way to get the good physique that you have always desired. A fitness boot camp includes collection of outdoor exercises, so joining these camps are more likely to get the desired results as they are designed for your specific needs followed by expert advice.

It is the best way to stay fit & healthy. The types of bootcamps range from the camps offering weight loss solution to the camps that are focused on giving you physique perfect for sports. There are different combinations included to make a boot camp more useful for you like they may include Yoga and meditative exercises as well to take care of your mind and body at the same time.

However there are certain aspects that should be taken into consideration before joining a boot camp session, like people with specific physical mental disorders should always be careful while joining these camps they may not be helpful for them but carry the risk of intensifying there existing problem or create other physical problems for them. The following points should be taken into consideration before joining:

•The objective should be clear, for what purpose you want to join it, like general fitness, or modeling, or sports.

•One should find out the various exercises and programs that a particular fitness boot camp includes, and what all are the combinations available.

•One should counsel with the fitness expert and let him know for any specific disease or disorder, if you have, to avoid the risk.

•And of course to what extent your specific objectives are achieved will depend on the quality of the sessions, so make sure that you join a properly certified camp and get trained under a well trained staff to help you out.

The benefits of joining a good boot camp class include:

1)Good health
2)A disciplined life
3)A perfect stress buster

Over the years Fitness boot camps have taken a preference for people who prefer low cost and efficient workouts. The duration of these classes is generally between 4-8 weeks where the individual is exposed to various exercises. Joining a fitness boot camp is a wise decision that will help you burn calories and get good physique and body posture. These camps can be helpful for anyone from a regular 10 to 6 employee for general fitness or a prospective bride. The exercises covered in various camps can be different for different purposes but the all serve some common purposes as well like everyone who joins these classes feels rejuvenated and relaxed. No matter how stressful the day has been or going to be these sessions give you energy to start fresh and stay relaxed.

And it is also observed that people with regular exercise schedule are more productive in their work life and happy in their personal life. Targeted camps like these focus on giving you most suitable workout and exercises, to give you the best outcome for your time and effort you spend.

Also the sessions like these increase your social circle of like-minded people giving you good opportunity to network and learn from people with different attitudes, backgrounds and experience.

Fitness Expert Shares Top 4 Fitness Industry Predictions for 2010

January 8th, 2010

Today I want to share my Top 4 Fitness Industry Predictions for 2010, but let’s start with an interesting study:

A recent study was done assessing whether clients got better results with or without professional supervision.

Reference: Supervised exercise versus non-supervised exercise for reducing weight in obese adults. J Sports Med Phys Fitness. 2009 Mar;49(1):85-90.

This research study looked at the effects of training with supervision/instruction (i.e. a qualified personal trainer) versus “advice” (i.e. “Can you just give me a program to follow?”). There were two groups:

1. Group one met a trainer twice a week for 4 months (as a group).

2. Group two received basic advice to increase physical activity and access to a fully equipped gym (any exercise they did was unsupervised).

Results: The group with supervision lost almost 10 pounds more over a 4-month period with a total fat loss of 13.4lbs in the coached group, and only 3.7lbs in the advice only group.

The bottom line here is pretty clear… if you are SERIOUS about getting rapid and lasting results then you NEED to hire a true fitness professional.

Of course, that comes with a BIG BUT doesn’t it? For many, hiring a personal trainer is just too expensive. And with that, let me share my 2010 Fitness Industry Predictions…

Prediction #1: Weight loss and fitness boot camps will be popping up all over the place.

A quality boot camp is far more cost effective than hiring a one-on-one personal trainer. In fact, that’s one of the major reasons I switched to running a boot camp business when I left my career as a health club personal training manager. In addition, more studies are showing that people get better results when working out in a group environment.

There is, however, a BIG concern that goes along with this prediction. My fear is there will be a flood of copycat boot camp programs run by unqualified “trainers” who are simply jumping on the bandwagon to make money. It’s simply the nature of the beast. When an opportunity comes up to make money, people will jump on it. There are multiple fitness business “gurus” on the Internet who sell their done-for-you boot camp systems. As unseasoned trainers fail in health clubs they will be relying on these “boot camp in a box” programs.

So, how do you know how to choose a good boot camp from a poorly run one or one run by an unqualified instructor? Make sure you check the credentials of the person running the program. Look for a fitness related degree and national certification like the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

My next 2 predictions are direct results of Prediction #1.

Prediction #2: More people will get injured while attempting to get fit.

Because of the increase in copycat boot camps run by unqualified “trainers” fitness related injuries will go through the roof. We’ll see out-of-shape and overweight people performing exercises that are way out of their league. The ever-increasing popularity of The Biggest Loser will also be a major contributor to fitness related injuries. Viewers don’t realize that Biggest Loser participants are very closely supervised and go through professional athlete level testing and rehabilitation on a regular basis. In addition, the workouts you see on TV are not what they do most of the week.

Please be smart and safe when choosing your weight loss & fitness program.

Prediction #3: People will lose more weight than ever before.

Here’s the positive effect of prediction #1. There will be great weight loss and fitness boot camps like Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp that open up in your town. You will be able to find qualified trainers running highly effective boot camp programs. I’m personally part of an association with over 150 boot camp owners around the world. We strive to provide the highest quality programs to our communities. We have regular conferences and constantly communicate in an online forum sharing ideas and success stories.

These boot camp owners will deliver incredible results to their members and change the way their communities view fitness.

Prediction #4: Online personal training will become more popular.

Let’s face it; the economy has taken its toll on a lot of people. I personally think it’s a mindset, but that’s for another post. Online programs can offer a very inexpensive alternative to gym memberships and even boot camp memberships. The key is, of course, finding the right one.

I’ve experimented with a few, and have been less than impressed. The biggest issue I’ve found is most of them are computer generated. You answer a few questions and supposedly it spits out a custom program. The truth is, programs don’t need to be as customized for most people as many “professionals” would try to lead you to believe. However, these computer generated and some so called personal trainer generated programs often provide exercise and routines that are very inappropriate; oftentimes leading to under-training, over-training and/or injuries.

A World of Fitness Awaits When You Join an Escondido Boot Camp

August 22nd, 2009

The community of Escondido is a community that is rich in health and fitness. There are health clubs and fitness centers galore, but if you want to experience a true fitness experience join an Escondido boot camp.

In the past few years fitness boot camps have become all the rage. After all, where else would you be able to experience such a unique fitness regime. Boot camps are great for people who want to implement a regular fitness routine into their daily lives.

Many boot camps to choose from

The great thing about an Escondido boot camp is that there are so many different kinds to choose from. All people have their own unique fitness needs and the benefit of joining a boot camp is that it will cater to those needs. The key to considering which camp to join is to realize what your fitness requirements are. There is a wide array of choices each one with its own specializations.

Day fitness camps: These camps are great for those people who enjoy working out at the same time each day. You will be offered an intense daily workout that will help to tone your body and increase your fitness level. You will be working out with the same group every day and will quickly develop friendships with people who have the same fitness interests as you do.

Weight loss camps: In a world where the obesity rate is increasing at alarming rates it is no wonder that this type of camp has become so popular. It is a great way to gain that discipline that you may be lacking. These wonderful camps provide a personalized fitness routine and nutritional support to help you regain your life. You will be able to lose weight and workout in a highly motivational environment full of people who truly care about your fitness needs.

Getaway boot camps: If you want a camp that will take you away from the everyday grind then a getaway camp is just for you. These camps take you to a more remote environment where you will be able to implement hiking, biking, and climbing into your workout. You will spend an entire weekend camping and getting fit. This is an amazing experience for anyone who loves being out in the wilderness. Your days will be filled with adventure and your nights with camp fire conversations.

Kid’s camps: It is never too early to get your kids on the right fitness track. An Escondido boot camp for children is a great way of helping them understand their fitness needs from early on. Whether your kids are younger or even in their teen, these camps have a program to offer them. One incredible thing about this type of environment for kids is that it has a way of boosting self esteem and giving the kids something to look forward to. It has been proven that kids with a higher self esteem are less likely to get in trouble and more likely to be successful in school. These awesome fitness regimes are a great moral booster for any child.

Joining an Escondido boot camp is an increasingly popular thing to do. It is a wonderful way of reclaiming your life and regaining your health, both very important things to have. That can be the power of fitness boot campsArticle Source:http://www.articlesbase.com/health-articles/a-world-of-fitness-awaits-when-you-join-an-escondido-boot-camp-1151737.html

How To Succeed With Fitness Boot Camps

April 23rd, 2009

We are in a new season of fitness. The days of 1-on-1 personal training are being rapidly replaced by functional group exercise.

It is no secret anymore that the only way to really teach a good Boot Camp is by implementing functional exercise into your programming.

If you want to make a GOOD living in the fitness industry you absolutely must learn the art of conditioning groups as if they were personal sessions.

It is so important that your client has a personal experience while working under your supervision and care.

This will make or break a personal training or bootcamp business.

Most trainers have forgotten how intimidating it can be to walk into a new and challenging experience like a fitness boot camp.

Groups can be very intimidating to the average fitness enthusiast. Generally speaking most people seek personal fitness training as a means of boosting their self image or finding themselves again.

As a trainer it is the difference between success and failure when you meet these individuals in a challenging group environment yet make them feel like they are alone with you.

This takes a magic touch. It takes a deeper understanding of why they are here and what they are seeking. It is much deeper then fitness….trust me.

When you use good systems that are strongly grounded in psychology and human anatomy the results of your bootcamps can be astounding.

Most of the decisions we make in a day are the result of external influences. We are constantly seeing some advertisement pushing us in some direction.

Everyone seems to be an expert in fitness these days. There are too many gurus and not enough real talent.

Do not teach a fitness boot camp if you don’t understand movement!

If you don’t know why you are picking certain exercises for different camps and you are just randomly searching on “You Tube” for ideas, you are heading for trouble fast.

You will soon be found out and people will know you are a phony.

As Boot Camp fitness instructor you need to be on the ball. You need to have eyes in the back of your head! But most importantly, you need to know how to throw a good party.

What does a good party have Brian?

Use humor often.
Use first names.
Use encouragement.
Act silly and be fun to look at.
Make them forget you are torturing them.
Be creative!

Let’s look at the schematic of a good boot camp. When participants arrive there should be no questions. They should either bring their equipment with them as per detailed instructions by the boot camp post or they should walk directly in to a “done for you” fitness experience.

Start every class with a dynamic warm-up. A simple way to ensure a dynamic warm-up is by starting with calisthenics. A great reference guide for multi-planar calisthenics is the United States Navy Seals conditioning manual. This 300 page detailed manual illustrates military calisthenics and proper cool down stretches. This manual is available for free on the website listed in the resource box below.

Once the dynamic warm-up has been initiated, the instructor needs to take charge of the class. Questions, talking, whining, and other distractions immediately detract from the overall experience that a boot camp needs to convey. As an instructor, you can be fun and entertaining while still maintaining a high degree of structure in your classes. Rather than explain to you on paper how to progress through a boot camp, I will now direct you to the resource below containing dozens of video examples that you can use tomorrow to start exploding your fitness camp business.
