The Benefits Of Combining Natural Weight Loss Pills With Exercise For Fat Loss

Ask any trainer, health care expert, and fitness enthusiast, and they will tell you one thing: you cannot lose weight by merely taking natural weight loss pills. In fact, it can be pretty dangerous for you to simply stick with such weight loss idea. If you want to know why you have to exercise, then check out the reasons below:

You cannot take weight loss supplements forever. You cannot depend on your natural weight loss supplements for a very long time. You have to use them only when you need to jump start your fitness program, and you are finding it hard time to get rid of the excess weight.

Normally, you can take your supplements for three months. If you go beyond the recommended time, you may suffer from adverse side effects such as headaches and faster heart rate.

Exercise, along with proper diet, is the best way to go when you want to extend your fitness plan for the rest of your life. This is one of the secrets of David Murdock, the founder of Dole. He makes it a point to spend at least 30 minutes continuously moving his muscles. Thus, even at his age of more than 80, he is still physically fit.

Natural weight loss pills can still contain side effects. Just because they are labelled as natural, they are completely safe to take. Some of them contain certain side effects. There are even a number of brands that are already banned by the Food and Drug Administration because of their serious side effects, which include death.

This is a far cry from exercise, which is known to be very beneficial for the body. When you are physically fit, there’s no need for you to take weight loss pills for a long time and suffer the consequences. Moreover, you can prevent yourself from getting serious illnesses such as cardiovascular diseases and even cancer.

You can tone your muscles. One of the best effects of natural weight loss pills is that you will definitely lose weight. You can lose as much as 5 to 10 pounds or even more, depending on the supplement you are taking. The downside is that your skin may begin to sag. This is because fats are stored in your muscles. When they are gone, you are left with sagging skin.

You have to couple your exercise, so you can tone your muscles. When your muscles are firm, they would no longer sag, and you can conveniently tuck away the body fats. Moreover, firm muscles mean that there will be few spaces for your fats to hide before they are burned.

You can increase your metabolism. One of the best ways to increase your metabolism is to add oxygen into your body. That’s why it’s called aerobic exercises. Though natural weight loss pills can boost your metabolic rate through thermogenics or thermogenesis, to name a few, you can further enhance it with exercise.

Exercise also gives you a great feeling, knowing that it can help you become a more disciplined and health-conscious individual.

Exercise Program Success: How to Realize Your Exercise Program Progress

April 25th, 2009

Home exercise goals come in many shapes and sizes. Take a sample of thirty fitness seekers, ask them what their primary fitness objective is & you’ll get thirty varied responses. There will most likely be some similarities amongst many of those people but then again, what means ‘firming up & slimming down’ to one may mean something entirely different to someone else.

Regardless of the many different specific versions of personal fitness goals, we can easily put them into several broader categories that can hold the various subcategories and definitions as implied (or inferred) by any type of specific fitness ‘enthusiast’.

To keep matters simple, I will list the broadest phrases that define the majority of fitness objectives as applied to ‘regular’ men and women.

1) Body Fat loss/Weight loss
2) Muscle ‘Toning’ (getting leaner)
3) Strength Building
4) Muscle Development
5) Energy Boosting/Enhancement
6) Body-Shaping/Body-Sculpting
7) Flexibility Improvement/ Range of Motion
8) Reduction in Aches & Pains (Back problems, etc)
9) Improved Self Image and Self Confidence
10) Improved Health/Medical Profile (Wellness)
11) Cellulite Reduction and Flab Tightening

There is definitely some overlap between these terms not only in definition but also in practice. But, this is a good thing – not a bad thing, at all – reason being that you can only get improvements in some of these areas if you are realizing improvements in a few of the others. Now, we are probably getting into an area of discussion more suited for fitness pros as opposed to fitness seekers but I think you are getting the idea of where I am coming from.

Optimal fitness is not defined by one parameter – but rather by at least several. In other words, having a ‘hot body’ does not define one as fit – but having a great body, that is flexible and capable of a moderate amount of physical performance – which is fed a well rounded, nutrient dense diet will most likely fall into the ‘healthy and fit’ category.

On the flip-side of this, having a body that is not defined as ’sexy’ or ‘hot’ by societal norms does not mean that the ‘owner’ of that body is ‘unhealthy and unfit’. Remember, fitness is not defined by whether or not you can elicit cat calls and get yourself ‘checked out’ by others around you. Rather, fitness is a ‘full package deal’. It should answer the question: ‘What are we as a whole?’ when we consider all ingredients. Ultimately, it’s ‘how we feel about ourselves, with all elements of fitness being taken into consideration’.

So, where am I taking you with this uncommon philosophical viewpoint? Well, the actual measurement of fitness progress and success can take many forms when we talk about specifics, but when the smoke clears and its time to assess ones changes and improvements – there are several elements to measure, depending on your personal goals, that will tell a tale and provide all the feedback needed to let you know if you are on the right track or in need of fitness/nutrition program adjustments.

One of these key elements is your own intuition – you should be able to ‘feel’ if you are making progress or not. While there is nothing wrong with body-fat analysis, regular weigh-ins, or muscle-strength testing (just to name several)… It is more important that you start to rely on your internal feedback system. You want to learn how to get in tune with your body and your self. The better you get at this – the simpler it becomes to ’stick to your plan’, to make consistent and ‘measurable’ progress… and to make your fitness lifestyle ‘2nd nature’ to you.

How To Succeed With Fitness Boot Camps

April 23rd, 2009

We are in a new season of fitness. The days of 1-on-1 personal training are being rapidly replaced by functional group exercise.

It is no secret anymore that the only way to really teach a good Boot Camp is by implementing functional exercise into your programming.

If you want to make a GOOD living in the fitness industry you absolutely must learn the art of conditioning groups as if they were personal sessions.

It is so important that your client has a personal experience while working under your supervision and care.

This will make or break a personal training or bootcamp business.

Most trainers have forgotten how intimidating it can be to walk into a new and challenging experience like a fitness boot camp.

Groups can be very intimidating to the average fitness enthusiast. Generally speaking most people seek personal fitness training as a means of boosting their self image or finding themselves again.

As a trainer it is the difference between success and failure when you meet these individuals in a challenging group environment yet make them feel like they are alone with you.

This takes a magic touch. It takes a deeper understanding of why they are here and what they are seeking. It is much deeper then fitness….trust me.

When you use good systems that are strongly grounded in psychology and human anatomy the results of your bootcamps can be astounding.

Most of the decisions we make in a day are the result of external influences. We are constantly seeing some advertisement pushing us in some direction.

Everyone seems to be an expert in fitness these days. There are too many gurus and not enough real talent.

Do not teach a fitness boot camp if you don’t understand movement!

If you don’t know why you are picking certain exercises for different camps and you are just randomly searching on “You Tube” for ideas, you are heading for trouble fast.

You will soon be found out and people will know you are a phony.

As Boot Camp fitness instructor you need to be on the ball. You need to have eyes in the back of your head! But most importantly, you need to know how to throw a good party.

What does a good party have Brian?

Use humor often.
Use first names.
Use encouragement.
Act silly and be fun to look at.
Make them forget you are torturing them.
Be creative!

Let’s look at the schematic of a good boot camp. When participants arrive there should be no questions. They should either bring their equipment with them as per detailed instructions by the boot camp post or they should walk directly in to a “done for you” fitness experience.

Start every class with a dynamic warm-up. A simple way to ensure a dynamic warm-up is by starting with calisthenics. A great reference guide for multi-planar calisthenics is the United States Navy Seals conditioning manual. This 300 page detailed manual illustrates military calisthenics and proper cool down stretches. This manual is available for free on the website listed in the resource box below.

Once the dynamic warm-up has been initiated, the instructor needs to take charge of the class. Questions, talking, whining, and other distractions immediately detract from the overall experience that a boot camp needs to convey. As an instructor, you can be fun and entertaining while still maintaining a high degree of structure in your classes. Rather than explain to you on paper how to progress through a boot camp, I will now direct you to the resource below containing dozens of video examples that you can use tomorrow to start exploding your fitness camp business.
